Rental terms

How renting equipment with us works.

Last updated: 8 May 2026

These are the terms governing the rental of mobile bars, glassware, furniture and cocktail equipment from the Green Jar Ibiza catalogue. You'll also receive them by email when we confirm your booking, this page is the source of truth.

Booking and confirmation

To book equipment, fill in the cart form at /rentals with products, dates, event location and your contact details. Within 48 hours we'll come back with confirmed availability and a fixed price in writing. The booking is confirmed with a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is paid the day before delivery or by bank transfer 5 days in advance.

Prices and VAT

Catalogue prices are indicative and DON'T include VAT (21%). The closed quote you receive by email includes the VAT breakdown. Rental price is calculated by calendar days (delivery and pickup days both count). For weekend rentals the cost is the same as two calendar days. Rentals over 7 days have a reduced rate, ask us.

Return of equipment

Equipment is delivered and picked up at the event address within the agreed time window. It must be returned in the same condition as delivered: • Glassware and tableware: rinsed of liquids and visible residue. Deep cleaning is on us. • Mobile bars, furniture, stools: dry and free of food or drink residue. • If equipment is returned wet, persistently stained or with odour (cigarette, fermented food), we apply an extra deep-cleaning charge by type: glassware from €30 per crate, full bar from €80. Damage or breakage is billed at the replacement price stated in the delivery note.

Transport

For rentals under €2,000, transport has a fixed cost of €150 (delivery + pickup) within the island of Ibiza. For rentals of €2,000 or more, transport is included in the price. Deliveries to Formentera or events with restricted access (yachts, fincas not reachable by van) are quoted separately.

Cancellations

• Cancellation more than 14 days before the event: full deposit refund. • Cancellation between 14 and 7 days: we retain 50% of the deposit as compensation for committed logistics. • Cancellation less than 7 days before: we retain 100% of the deposit. In case of force majeure (natural disaster, administrative ban on the event), we apply cancellation without penalty or free rescheduling within the following 12 months.

Damage, loss and liability

The client is responsible for the equipment from delivery to pickup, including during the event and while stored at the location. We recommend taking out event public liability insurance covering rented equipment, many venues already include it. In case of theft or loss, the client covers the replacement price stated on the delivery note. Minor wear from normal use (surface scratches, small chips) isn't billed. Green Jar Ibiza isn't liable for indirect damages arising from use of the equipment (falls, injuries, drink losses), the client organises and supervises use during the event.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute is submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of Eivissa (Ibiza), unless consumer protection law establishes a different competent forum. The privacy policy and the legal notice of the site apply in a complementary manner.
